Being an Entrepreneur involves taking information from lots of different places and bringing them together in ways that no one has done before. It’s making connections across industries and across functions. The more diverse information that you consume the more connections that you can make.

Blogs I Like
Feld Thoughts – Brad Feld is one of the leading thinkers among VC’s. He is an Entrepreneurs VC and if you don’t read what he has to say you are doing yourself a disservice. His blog and his 4 books are all about educating entrepreneurs to help them build and grow their businesses.
A VC – Fred Wilson is a Venture Capitalist in New York City. He is a partner in both Flatiron Partners and Union Square Ventures. He posts regularly about things in the startup and venture world including an education series called MBA Mondays which attempts to educate the entrepreneur in topics related to financing.
Cafe Hayek – ever wonder what Fredrick Hayek would have thought about something. Russ Roberts and Don Boudreaux will let you know.
Freakonomics – From the Authors of the book Freakonomics. A different perspective on the world of economics and what motivates us to act the way that we do.
Greg Mankiw’s Blog – Greg is the head of the Economics Department at Harvard. But don’t let that fool you. His writing is very approachable.
The Grumpy Economist – John Cochrane from the University of Chicago is another great understandable educator on all economic topics.
Balance – It never hurts to understand the economy. Balance is written by two amazing economists.
Chain Store Age Technology – as someone who has worked in and around retail his entire adult life I try to stay up on trends in retail technology. Here is one place that I do that.
Mac Rumors – You don’t have to be a Mac user to learn from this blog. Mac’s sit at the heart of everything that happens in personal technology so it helps to know what’s going on in that world.
Pro Football Talk – The best information about the best game around. I won’t bother you with all of the Patriots Blogs that I read.
Becker/Posner – Two incredible faculty members from the University of Chicago – one from Law and one from Business. They tackle one relevant topic each week and give you there unique perspectives.
Blog Maverick – Mark Cuban, founder of Broadcast.com and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, gives you his very opinionated view on a wide variety of topics. The only thing you can count on is that the view will be unique.
